    Okay, that didn’t work…Settings tab –> General was no where to be found…

    However,your suggestion to go to http://www.savvypoet.com/wp-admin made me realize that my blog is actually offered by my domain host, 1and1.com, but powered by WordPress, not actually hosted on WordPress.

    I have been looking all over WordPress for the problem and the answer, But the issue was with my domain host. I was able to go there and delete the blog.

    I think I’ll go back to maintaining my blog in my own simple html pages… Its my own little world, but thats ok… they know and like me here.

    Thanks for your help… Consider this one solved…. in a round about way.

    Can’t anyone help?

    I would just like to cancel my account, or otherwise make it a standalone blog instead of hijacking my domain name.

    WordPress did not place any rogue files on my domain server, so there is nothing to remove there.

    I have tried replacing all my html files, but no change.

    I am sure there is a setting in my account somewhere that “tells” it to replace all URLs associated with my account with my blog.

    I am very angry that there is no direct Support contact for issues as DIRE as this one.

    I have never heard of such a thing happening before, and I have not seen any posts about this happening.

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!

    okay. here is what I have tried so far….

    Renamed index.html file to indexxxx.html
    uploaded my whole site again from my backups on my computer.
    I even uploaded a new file called helpme.html to see if that one shows up.

    There is no index.php file on my site at all. There are .php files in a folder called Logs, but none of them are named index.php. Its a simple 3 (now 4) page site that includes:
    index.html
    archives.html
    poet.html
    helpme.html

    After doing all this, all four pages are still being held hostage. Help me, I’m getting desperate!
