In reply to: [Query Monitor] Some interpretation for a noobThanks for getting back to me, John. Very much appreciated. I have been down the switch-off-plugins path, but admittedly that was before I had installed Query Monitor, and I was trying to gauge performance by ‘feel’. Hopefully QM can give me some numbers/data to help me pinpoint the problem.
Again, many thanks for replying so promptly, and for making and maintaining a very useful plugin.

In reply to: Memory issuesThanks James,
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact time, and I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for, but here’s a sample.

In reply to: Memory issuesI haven’t been able to resolve this and it seems to be getting worse. In fact, generally speaking, if more than one person is logged in, the site crumbles and the backend just starts throwing 500 errors.
I installed Query Monitor to try to see what is going on. When logged in (say, in the Dashboard), it’s telling me that around 100MB memory is being used.
Can someone clarify for me: does that mean that every logged in user will require 100MB of available memory? So if php.ini is set to 256MB, it’ll only take 3 people to max out memory? Or is that a total misinterpretation of what Query Monitor is showing me?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Memory issuesOK, thanks for clarifying that.

In reply to: Memory issuesThanks James. Memory is set to 256M via wp-config. Don’t have access to php.ini
Will memory set in htaccess or wp-config override what is set in the php allocation?

In reply to: Migrating content/SEO from custom CMSThanks Marios, I thought about a manual transfer, but I thinks there’s literally thousands of posts. I could probably do the best-ranked 100 or so manually, but I don’t think it’s realistic for the whole site.
Hadn’t thought about low-cost labour. Never even tried them. You mean like Freelancer.com or something like that? Certainly worth thinking about. thanks.
Okay, I think I got this sorted. For anyone else who runs into similar issues with this plugin, try installing the Use Google Libraries plugin.
It has been suggested elsewhere in these support threads that there is an issue with the Enqueue Safe Version of jQuery, and the inability to alter the version used. iThemes has repeatedly denied that this is an issue.
Seems uncanny though that using google libraries version of jquery seems to fix the issues, no?
So that’s taken most of the day … Tomorrow back to my real job. Pretty disappointed in the lack of support.
Well, this seems to have been something of a disaster.
I’ve disabled the plugin to try to get rid of the problems listed above, but nothing is fixed. It’s also disable my themes uploads, so I can’t reload the theme.
Guys, I am an active user of your other plugins and have recommended them to others both personally and on my blog, but this Security plugin is a real balls up.
Worse, you don’t seem to replying to people’s critical concerns and queries.
What gives? I’d really appreciate some answers because as things stand, my website and its functionality are broken as direct result of installing your plugin.
