What do you mean with default theme? I’m using Twenty Fourteen.
I’ll try resetting the plugins folder, but it is strange the issue has been generated in two different upgrades in two different web hosting services.I thank you for your kind support (both..)!

I have prepared a mirror blog on a different host here and whenever I disable that plugin, I get the three random featured posts working.
If you clink on that site now, you’ll see.
Now I am in contact with Jetpack developers. They have asked me to test version 2.8 Alpha and I did but was not lucky.I have create a new post as suggested by Kathrin:

it was the Post-rating plugin.
After deactivating, all is fine.
Now I need to find another lightweight rating plugin, but this is another story…

I think it was a cache issue..I turned off, but I have not seen any improvement.

I have a widget for videos. For each video post, I see the preview and below it the name of the post, the date, the author, and leave a comment links.
Well, that’s what I used to!
Now I see after the preview all the details referring to current page, where the widget is.
maybe it’s an issue with the jetpack plug-in?One more detail. All title, author, date and leave a comment refer to the page itself where the widget is shown, not the post.
