In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Cannot enter data into input fieldsWhy would I do that? I am using the theme I need to use. Would switching the theme help me solve the problem and then I can switch back?

In reply to: Responsive columns on pageHi there 🙂
Thanks so much for your assistance on this -your explanation of using percentages instead of fixed width makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, this has caused the two sections to stack on top of each other. I also changed the paragraph to 46% but now the text block is too wide – it should be the same width as the photo, if possible.
I am able to add custom CSS on this theme, as well.

In reply to: [Theme: Ribosome] background image in text widgetYes..I had thought of that. It seems that getting the paper to fill the container is the main point so…. I didn’t know about the background cover property so that’s a godsend.
I also wonder if I could just make the paper part of the image a bit bigger so that it is as big as the container. The staple isn’t that important but I am not so keen on the way the whole image now looks stretched. Probably I will notice it and others won’t but well, it’ll bug me.
I appreciate your help very much! You have been a life saver. I also was able to use your suggestions and fix the background on the sidebar.
One last question – if you don’t mind having a look. Down at the bottom of this, just above the footer, there is a white space. I need to fill that space with my background but I can’t figure out what that space is called, so I can assign it a background style. Can you see what it is? Is it colophon?
Once again, thanks!

In reply to: [Theme: Ribosome] background image in text widgetHi there –
Thanks so much for the help! I have created a child theme- the site you were looking at was simply a testing site so I didn’t go to all that trouble. I’ve now moved the site to its proper location and created the child theme for it. It was necessary to make a child theme because I’m making changes to the header.php as well.
So that worked beautifully on the main background except, it seems to be stretching it out a bit.
If you have a look now, you can see in the upper left corner-ish of that “paper” there is a staple image. That staple now is stretched out and not photo realistic any longer. In fact, the whole background image looks different. Here is the link to the old site so you can compare:

What is causing that and how can I fix it?Thanks!

In reply to: [Theme: Ribosome] Using multiple backgrounds in sidebarI am also wondering if its possible with this theme to actually add another “section” to the sidebar and use another background. Any advise?

Ok? This is just the 2014 Theme by WordPress, nothing custom or purchased. Should I just ask on the theme forum here?
