Thank you for following up and for your patience.
You were right — this was indeed a bug.
I’m happy to let you know that in version 8.1.7 we have fixed this issue. The llms-sitemap.xml file now loads correctly in all browsers without the XSLT error.
Please update to the latest version, regenerate the sitemap, and it should work properly.

In version 8.1.7 we’ve added exactly this feature — you can now customize how each post type name is displayed in the llms.txt file directly from the plugin settings page. This way you can use more descriptive, human-friendly titles instead of relying only on the short post type slugs.

Thanks for reporting this. For the llms-sitemap.xml to display correctly, you’ll need to enable the option in the plugin settings:
“I understand the SEO risks and want to include llms.txt in the sitemap”
(see the screenshot ).
Once you check that box and save the settings, regenerate the sitemap and the file should open properly without the XSLT error.

Did you make sure to enable the checkboxes in the plugin settings page (as shown in the screenshot I provided)? Without those options activated, the description field and all selected pages won’t be included in the llms.txt output.

You’re absolutely right — starting from version 8.1.5, there is now a custom description field available on the page/post edit screen (in the llms.txt metabox). If you’ve enabled page-level settings in the plugin settings, this field should now appear alongside the MD upload and exclude toggle.
This lets you manually define the description text that will be used in llms.txt, overriding the auto-generated one.
If you’re not seeing it:
- Make sure you’re using version 8.1.5 or newer.
- Confirm that the “Enable page-level llms.txt settings” toggle is enabled in the plugin settings.

In reply to: [Website LLMs.txt] No LLMS.txt file found in root directory@apos37 – We’ve just added exactly that in the latest update. There’s now a “Generate Now” option in the admin that triggers llms.txt generation immediately, without waiting for the cron.
@graybox – This release also addresses the WP Engine root file creation issue.
For single-site installs, llms.txt will now be correctly generated in the uploads directory and copied to the WordPress root, even in WP Engine and other restrictive hosting environments.
For multisite, the file is generated in the uploads directory, and its content is served when accessing [site]/llms.txt (no physical copy in the root).Both improvements are included in v8.1.3.

Thank you for testing the plugin on a WordPress VIP environment and reporting these issues.
We’ve made changes for version 8.1.1 to address the problems you found:
1. File Writing Compatibility:
• Replaced file_put_contents() with WP_Filesystem for writing the llms.txt file.
• Added a fallback using native PHP file handles (fopen in append mode) when the direct method is available.
• This should prevent the stream_lock error on VIP environments.
2. Rewrite Rule Handling:
• Improved the rewrite rule registration to ensure website.com/llms.txt is properly accessible on VIP servers.The update is now available. Could you please install 8.1.1 on your VIP site and let us know if the issues are resolved on your end? Your feedback will help us confirm the fix works across VIP environments.
