thanks for your prompt response, the the first solution you gave me got me the response in array. Hence did not went into looking woocommerce api issue. It could be due to conflicts with restrictions set in relevanssi plugin on my website. Thanks for your help once again.

thanks, the worries native search api worked, however unable to get results from woocommerce api. Thanks for the solution.
