  • it might help if you can show us your website (and maybe we can find something in the source code?)

Try using div instead of span? <div class=”no-border”>

I just noticed – you have a link, ‘skills/references’ there on the rightmost column – it’s kind of hard to notice. If I was looking for someone to make a website for me, I’ll be interested in finding out more about the person – so it would benefit you if you can make that link more obvious/easier to spot ;D

The index looks very empty, Keono. It might be your personal preference to make it look that way, but imho, the front page should make an impact, so you can get more people to read your stories. How do you do this? Instead only showing links to individual posts, you should let your content be seen on the front page. You can then put a list of individual pages on your sidebar – that’s what its for after all. 😀

Also, viewing your post – maybe its just me, but the italicized, red text is a little hard to read. I think it’s because its in italics that its hard to read – or it could also be the color of the text.

    Layout looks great 😀

I think you can take some width out of the rightmost column, and add it to the blog entry on the far left – since most of the stuff on the right column are just ads and some recent- sections. Maybe you can go with one straight column for the far right column, instead of it breaking into two at the bottom (recent articles – popular searches) -That’s for the index of course :D-

I love how you organized the website – and the topic is very informative ~ you’ll probably get plenty of readers 😀

Oh – and the resources link on your nav menu – I think you forgot to capitalize it 😀

    Here we go ~ XD

You could do without a hit counter – Most blogs I’ve seen don’t put on these counters – but if you really want to have some stats on your site, I’d suggest a feed count. The one I’m using is provided for free by feedburner.

One of your image is overlapping onto the sidebar – I think you can fix this by setting a max width property for all images. I think you can go with img { max-width: 600px; } or something – but I don’t know if this works, I haven’t tried this myself D: Just add this onto your CSS file 😀

And – all those stuff under the footer just messes up the whole layout imho. Maybe you can set a separate page just for the email form and have a CONTACT ME link on your navigation menu 😀

I hope its okay to give a little criticism – under each post’s header, the text that states the date when the post was published, the author, etc – is hard to view D:

Maybe you could change the text color to #CCCCCC? (light gray?)

    😀

If web designing wasn’t your job – I’d say that the giant image fader eats up too much space – and pushes down all the interesting content down XD

Maybe you could go with a smaller height, but like I said – web design = you, so this is a pretty much straightforward way of telling people that you design websites 😀

    I like the layout – I’ve always been a fan of white-websites ^0^ – Great work

Just a few things – maybe you can embed a sidebar login instead of having to make a Login link on your navigation menu? Then maybe you can add an archives link there, have it highlighted when the archives pages are being viewed 😀

And I think it would be better to put your search form just under the about section – so people wont need to scroll down too much when they need to use it 😀

But overall – simple, clean layouts are always a great thing imo. ^_^
