    Hi Vipul,

    Thank you for continuing to investigate this issue.

    I can add one useful piece of information regarding the possibility of a local configuration issue.

    The same problem has been reproduced several times by the person who normally manages the website. She lives about 200 km away from me and uses her own computer, internet connection and browser environment, completely independent from mine.

    She experiences exactly the same behaviour when managing the site: the Elementor editor may fail to load correctly, switch to Safe Mode, or load with controls that are not accessible.

    So the issue does not appear to be related to my own computer, browser, internet connection or local environment.

    Both websites concerned are hosted by OVH, however, so this does not rule out a hosting/server-side issue.

    I hope this additional information can help narrow down the investigation.

    Hi Rica,

    The Elementor issue is unfortunately still happening.

    I reproduced it today and collected detailed server logs.Steps to reproduce

    • WooCommerce enabled.
    • Create a brand new empty post.
    • Click “Edit with Elementor”.
    • Elementor immediately enters Safe Mode.
    • Safe Mode never finishes loading.
    • The editor returns HTTP 500.

    Elementor REST API failures

    During Safe Mode initialization, several Elementor REST API endpoints return HTTP 500:

    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/components
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/kit-elements-defaults
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/user-data/current-user
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/globals
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/variables/list

    Interestingly, some of these endpoints later return HTTP 200 without any configuration change.Server logs

    At the same timestamps, OVH reports:

    • FastCGI communication aborted.
    • Incomplete FastCGI headers (0 bytes).
    • “End of script output before headers”.
    • HTTP 500 on admin-ajax.php.

    The public website works correctly. The issue only appears when Elementor initializes the editor.

    Could you please check whether Elementor Safe Mode could trigger or expose a problem during REST API initialization or asynchronous requests when WooCommerce is active?

    I attached the complete logs.

    Unfortunately, the problem is still not solved.

    Today I reproduced the bug from a completely clean situation, and this time I collected the OVH logs, web logs and HTTP logs.How to reproduce

    1. WooCommerce is enabled.
    2. Create a new empty WordPress article.
    3. Click Edit with Elementor.
    4. Elementor immediately switches to Safe Mode.
    5. Safe Mode never finishes loading.
    6. After a few seconds the editor returns HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

    The public website continues to work normally. The problem only happens inside the Elementor editor.What appears in the logs

    Several Elementor REST API endpoints return HTTP 500 at exactly the moment the editor starts:

    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/components
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/kit-elements-defaults
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/user-data/current-user
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/globals
    • /wp-json/elementor/v1/variables/list

    A few seconds later, the same endpoints start returning HTTP 200 without changing any configuration.

    At the same time, OVH logs report repeated FastCGI failures:

    • FastCGI communication aborted.
    • Incomplete headers (0 bytes).
    • Fallback from FastCGI to CGI.
    • “End of script output before headers” for index.php, admin-ajax.php and post.php.

    One important request also fails with HTTP 500:

    POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=as_async_request_queue_runner

    This is the Action Scheduler asynchronous queue.Why I think this is important

    The crash is not related to the content of a page.

    It happens with a brand new empty article.

    Elementor Safe Mode is supposed to isolate plugin/theme conflicts, but it still crashes.

    Could you please investigate:

    • PHP-FPM / FastCGI process termination.
    • Memory or worker limits.
    • Action Scheduler background queue.
    • Any fatal PHP error associated with these OVH Request IDs.

    Sorry — I just realized that I sent you my previous message in French! 😊

    Here is the important point in English:

    When I initially tested the fix and thought the problem was solved, I did not notice that WooCommerce was disabled.

    I have now reactivated WooCommerce and tested again. Unfortunately, the original problem immediately comes back.

    So my previous conclusion was incorrect: the issue is not resolved.

    This may actually be an important clue for the diagnosis:

    • WooCommerce disabled → everything appears to work normally.
    • WooCommerce enabled → the problem reappears.

    I also collected the server logs while the issue was occurring, which may help us identify the cause.

    Je dois corriger mon précédent message dans lequel je vous indiquais que le problème était résolu.

    En reprenant les tests, je me suis aperçu d’un élément important : au moment où j’ai constaté que tout fonctionnait correctement, WooCommerce était désactivé.

    Je ne l’avais malheureusement pas remarqué.

    J’ai donc réactivé WooCommerce et refait les tests. Dans cette configuration, le problème réapparaît exactement comme auparavant. La correction ne peut donc pas être considérée comme validée.

    Ce constat est peut-être intéressant pour le diagnostic :

    • WooCommerce désactivé : le fonctionnement paraît normal ;
    • WooCommerce activé : le problème réapparaît.

    J’ai également relevé les logs au moment où le dysfonctionnement se produit afin que nous puissions identifier plus précisément son origine.

    Désolé pour cette conclusion prématurée dans mon précédent message. Le test était malheureusement faussé par la désactivation de WooCommerce.

    Je vous transmets les éléments techniques relevés afin que nous puissions poursuivre le diagnostic.

    Hi Rica,

    Thank you — enabling Switch Editor Loader Method appears to make a significant difference.

    I tested Elementor 4.2.4 with WooCommerce still active on four different pages. All four eventually opened correctly. On one of them, the editor kept loading, but a Ctrl+F5 refresh cleared the issue and the page then loaded normally.

    So this is a clear improvement compared with the previous behavior, where Elementor consistently entered Safe Mode / returned a 500 error when WooCommerce was active.

    I’ll keep testing with this loader method enabled to see whether the fix is stable, but this looks promising.

    Hello Milos,

    Thank you. I have now performed the two tests that I can safely perform on this hosting.

    1. WooCommerce usage tracking has been disabled.
      Result: the problem remains unchanged. With WooCommerce active, Elementor 4.2.4 still opens in Safe Mode.
    2. WordPress memory has been increased from 256M to 512M (WP_MEMORY_LIMIT = 512M and WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT = 512M). PHP memory limit is also 512M.
      Result: the problem remains unchanged. Elementor returns a server 500 error and then opens in Safe Mode.

    Server information currently reports:
    PHP 8.3.31
    PHP SAPI: fpm-fcgi
    PHP memory limit: 512M
    PHP execution time limit: 165 seconds

    OVH does not expose a 300-second execution-time setting in my hosting control panel, so I have not attempted to override this through .htaccess, as I do not want to introduce another server configuration variable into the test.

    The most significant result therefore remains reproducible:
    Elementor 4.2.4 + WooCommerce active = server 500 / Safe Mode
    Elementor 4.2.4 + WooCommerce disabled = Elementor editor works normally

    Would you like me to perform another diagnostic test or provide specific log entries before changing anything else on the server?
