had to point godaddy (registrar) to dreamhost (host).

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll deleted the index.html.

How do I set dreamhost’s DNS on the godaddy name server?

yes – I actually put the site in “mysitename”. I put the files in the main directory – /myedgemont.com (which is the site).
