Don’t you just hate themes where the *designer* fails to maintain built in WP functionality. They are not really themes at all. They are mini forks.

In reply to: Noob question about designing a siteI dont really agree. For the most part CSS / XHTML is all you need. Php is pretty optional. If you are an expert you will find it a stroll in the park to take say the Classic theme and adjust it.

There is no off the shelf solution. You need to write the php on the lines given by adding a counter as suggested. If you can’t manage it get a php programmer in. They charge about $100 USD an hour. 🙂
