In reply to: [WooCommerce] Why do I feel stressed every time I update?I’m very careful about plugin updates. but why does this problem only occur with WooCommerce? I’ve provided a link to a similar case. Additionally, recent forum discussions suggest that I’m not the only one experiencing this issue.
Why do I have to update everything manually every time I update WooCommerce… Is it really that difficult to test the plugin in different environments… I’ll repeat that there were no problems with WooCommerce a few years ago. Now, the errors are recurring.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Why do I feel stressed every time I update?Good afternoon. This error occurred during a plugin update. During the plugin update, I received an email with this error. The situation is similar to the previous one.

This is the third time I’ve encountered a critical error during plugin updates, and I’ve received an email alerting me to the error.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Why do I feel stressed every time I update?I am very grateful to your team for their work, but is it possible to approach testing updates more carefully? Seriously, why were updates easy and simple a few years ago, but now it is becoming a test of the nervous system’s strength?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] error during the update from version 10.7.0 to version 10.8.0Thanks for the answer! For myself, I solved this problem like this: Just try to download the woocommerce plugin directory from your website’s directory and compare it line by line with the plugin files that you need to download from the official website: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/
I used an OPEN SOURCE utility called MELD. It checks the files from two directories line by line. If the files are identical, there is no problem. This program is available for both Linux and Windows.
I don’t see the point in uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it if the plugin directory from your hosting is completely identical to the plugin that is downloaded from the official woocommerce website. The woocommerce developers have provided an explanation for this issue: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/10-8-0-update-error/page/2/#post-18920626

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 10.8.0 Update ErrorI ignored the error at the time, but then I compared the plugin files from my website with the zip file of the plugin that I downloaded from your website. They are completely identical. I used the MELD utility in Linux to compare them. It compared the files line by line and found no differences. However, it is strange that this is happening. Do you have any ideas about why the error is occurring if the files are identical?
Why do I receive an error email if the plugin files are updated correctly?

Unfortunately, replacing the target URL in the original plugin does not work.
Thanks, I’ll just try to copy the plugin and change the target URL for connecting to the API. I think this is the easiest option.
