    Great news! We have just released version 1.5.0 of Advanced Email Domain Restriction.

    In this update, we specifically added full support for the LearnDash Login & Registration modal (and other custom registration flows that bypass default WordPress filters).

    You can now safely re-enable the LearnDash modal, and your email domain restriction rules will be enforced seamlessly without needing any workarounds or third-party login plugins.

    Please update to v1.5.0 and let us know if everything works smoothly for you!

    Hi @chzumbrunnen, thanks for the clear report and sorry for the slow reply.

    You’ve diagnosed it correctly: this needs to be fixed on my side, not yours.

    The plugin currently hooks into each supported registration system’s validation flow — WordPress core’s registration_errors, plus specific integrations for WooCommerce, multisite, Contact Form 7, WPForms and Elementor Pro. LearnDash uses its own registration/validation flow, so the domain check currently isn’t being applied there.

    I’m planning to add a proper LearnDash integration in the next feature release. To make sure I hook into the right place rather than guessing, could you tell me:

    1. Which LearnDash version are you using? The registration error hook changed in LearnDash 4.5.0.
    2. Which registration surface are you using — the LearnDash Login & Registration modal, the [ld_registration] shortcode, or a course-level “Register” button?
    3. Do you also have “Anyone can register” enabled under Settings → General, and does the default wp-login.php?action=register form still block restricted domains correctly for you?

    If it’s easier, a screenshot of your LearnDash Login & Registration settings screen would cover most of the above.

    One thing worth flagging in the meantime: because the domain check isn’t currently being applied to that LearnDash registration flow, registrations through it may be unrestricted. If that’s a problem on a live site, you can temporarily disable the LearnDash registration modal and use the default WordPress registration flow instead.

    I’ll follow up here once I have a build you can test.

    No, currently the plugin is designed to accept domains only and does not support full email addresses like johndoe@gmail.com .
