In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] Cost of placing an ad dependent on asking priceThank you for the quick response. I very much appreciate your good work on this plugin.
In my view it would make a lot of sense to base a price plan on the actual asking price of the item being advertised.
I’m considering setting up a specialist site where people might advertise vehicles as well as small items like spares. I can’t really justify charging the same price for advertising a vehicle as I would for a spare wheel. I am aware that I could create categories to differentiate items but this relies on people honesty to select the right category. It’s the only thing preventing me, and possibly other from adopting this system. I do hope that you can see your way to adding it as a feature. I’d even be happy to pay for it as an add on.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Enigma] Child theme not working for meOk. This issue has been resolved. It was my error.
I was trying to change the formatting of some of the background colours on the Enigma home page. I had neglected to manually add styles to the new child css.

In reply to: [Enigma] Child theme not working for meHello. There appear to be no errors and it has been activated from the backend.
I have worked with child themes before so am confused as to why this is happening.I have read other posts saying the child themes don’t work for the Enigma theme, but those posts are 10 moths old and the developer said that he would fix it.
Any ideas?

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] MultisiteThanks Scott. My coding skills are next to zero.
I did wonder about using RSS as the information is much the same as in your job widget isn’t it.I know that users could use the RSS widget to do this, but my site users might not understand the procedure. I want to make it really simple for them to drag and drop a ready-made RSS widget into their sidebar that already has the feed setup – pointing to the wp Job Manger RSS data..
I know how to make a basic widget, but do you know of a simple way for me to make an RSS feed reader widget – where the feed url is already hard-coded into the widget?
This would be great if you could point me in the right direction.
Thanks for your help do far.

In reply to: Shared media plugin neededHi Mika E. Maybe if I explain the scenario it might help.
Imagine a multisite for a chain of pubs (bars). Each bar manager looks after their own website and can add their own pictures etc.
The head office (super admin) has a collection of pictures that it would like to make available to others on the multisite so that each bar manager can use the images if they wish on thie own site. This is what I have in mind. Does this explain my reasoning?

In reply to: Shared media plugin neededHello Mika E,
Thank you for your quick reply and helpful comments. For our purpose, it would be useful to have a single shared media folder that is managed by the super admin. We would use it to make common images and files available to other sites on the wordpress network. This could include things like our own logos and pdf documents that some of the sites might find useful.
I have seen other people searching for this type of wordpress functionality too. It would really enhance our site.
Maybe someone will see this opost and attempt to make such a plugin.Steve

In reply to: How to add plugin menu to available widgets pageHi esmi,
Thanks. You gave me a clue to the answer. ‘Creating a custom widget’ is what I should have been looking for. I was looking for ‘creating a plugin with a widget menu’.
I found the answer here…
