Just a note: I tried changing the settings through the WP admin tools so that the install directory and the site URL both pointed to mydomain.com, but somehow this corrupted the WP install and destroyed the site.
I’ve done a clean install of everything this time around, and I want to get the directory/URL/etc right from the start so I don’t run into a corrupt WP problem again.
