Never mind that. Somehow my tables have gotten screwed up (by the upgrade script?), which has only come to light now after I deleted my DB backup. So now I can’t log in to my site at all on the back end.
The front end is still visible, but this doesn’t help much.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix my DB?
adambundy, I’m in the same position. I’ve re-uploaded the 2.7.1 files many times after deleting my 2.6.5 installation, and still get the white screen of death every time I try to go to root/wp-admin.
It looks like it tries to load wp-admin/upgrade.php, but the page fails to load. I tried it in firefox, and also IE, which doesn’t even give the white screen, just a page load error.
I’ve tried all the suggestions made in this thread, and scanning my site’s error log has yielded nothing useful.
For now, I’m going back to 2.6.5, unless anyone has any other suggestions.
