Thank you! Product shortcodes does the job. Its a shame there is problem with the standard blocks using different code and css, but hey, the shortcodes do the job! Maybe this needs logging somewhere?
I havent used wordpress for a very long time so this is a little learning exercise for me and amazed this hasnt been noticed before (couldnt find it anyway :))
Yes the categories need images, it was just a straight forward ikport to test it so thats all good and will populate them 🙂
