If you want to remove the entire content and content box altogether put the CSS code below in the Custom CSS option under the Themes Options Panel, or in the style sheet CSS.

I have a similar issue but would like to remove that whole frosted window that overlays the main image. For now I have “Welcome” and some symbols “<<<<<<<” just to put something there. Other than that one issue, I am very happy with the template.
