In reply to: [Kale] Matching feature postsHi @kimcheever, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
That sounds weird indeed! Could you try creating a new post? Just copy the content from your old post to the new one, then try assigning the same iamge as a Featured image.
Let me know if this works!

In reply to: [Kale] How to change back to full page postsHi @donnatobin, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here!
Did you meant that the webpage accessible at http://www.findingfinancialresilience.com/category/howdigethereandhowdoigetout/ used to look something like this?
If so, then it looks like you might have assigned the wrong URL to your “How’d I get here and how do I get out?” link. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like you intended for that menu link to direct to a specific page on your site?

May I get the URL of your website? This will help me understand your problem better.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Kale] Google adSense on FrontpageHi @seagulltreasure, it’s me from LyraThemes again.
You’ll need to create a child theme and create a new template file for the home page to add the AdSense code properly. Our Pro version also has options that let you do this with modifying the theme.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Kale] How to change size of Frontpage Banner / SliderHi @revolviendolavalija, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
It’s not possible to change the slider’s size without heavy customization of the theme. However, it seems the photos you’ve used for the slider a bit too tall.
Please use photos that are wider and shorter. Ideally, the size for each image should be 1200 x 500 pixels. The slider will adjust automatically and it should be shorter once you use the new photos.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Kale] Change the way the search box looksHey @seagulltreasure, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
You can replace the search widget with a text widget, then just put in the following code:
<form role="search" method="get" class="search-form" action="http://seagullstreasure.com/"><div class="form-group"><input type="search" class="search-field form-control" value="" name="s"></div><div class="form-actions"><button type="submit" class="btn btn-default">Search</button></div></form>Then, use Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS to apply CSS that will add the icon to the textbox. You can find instructions on how to do that in this tutorial.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Sirius Lite] Subpage headline h2 on a Mobile DeviceHey @marjutus, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
I can see your problem. Your best bet is to just add this to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in your Dashboard:
.entry-content { -ms-word-break: break-all; word-break: break-all; word-break: break-word; }It targets everything in your subpages content so that long words are forced to break. You might also want to consider resizing your headers font-size to accommodate the long words.
At least you don’t have to use words like Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!

In reply to: [Kale] How do I remove large image at bottom of home page?Hey @mpalmer78, it looks like the soup photo is part of a Text Widget assigned to your Footer Row 3 sidebar. Please check out Appearance > Customize > Widgets and see if there’s a Text Widget that you can drag out to remove.
Let me know if this does the trick!

Sounds like your Large / Highlight Post is enabled. Please go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page > Large / Highlight Post to turn it off.

In reply to: [Kale] Linking Header image to a blog postHi @littleorchardkitchen, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
The link of the Header Image will only work if the Caption Heading has text set, because the Caption Heading itself is what becomes the link if a URL is set as well.
Hope this helps!
Hi @pamront, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here!
Any first-level item with sub-items turns into a dropdown toggle. This is so that there’s enough clickable area to access the dropdown for users on touch screens.
Changing this behavior requires a thorough revamp of the theme—and that’s exactly what we’re doing right now for a future update.
In the meantime, you can just duplicate the first-level link and add it to the dropdown. Please see the “Shop” menu item in our demo as an example.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Kale] Can’t get rid of sidebar widgetsHi @jhiatt4, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
When the Sidebar – Default space is empty, the theme loads certain widgets to make sure the space doesn’t stay empty—the Search, Pages, Recent Posts… you get the idea. 🙂
IF you’d like to keep your Sidebar blank, please add this to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in your Dashboard:
.sidebar-no-borders { display: none; }Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Kale] Recipe Index blank rowsHi @andypub88, @ricotheque from LyraThemes here.
Hmmm, that looks weird indeed! Can you try editing the Recipe Index page, uncheck everything under the purple “Kale – Recipe Index Options” box (except for the category you want to be first), then saving?
Hopefully this will reset the list and let you add back your categories without those blank All links.
May I ask you for another favor? This forum for the free version of Kale. Would it be ok if you sent us your reply through our Support Page?
Thanks!
Hi @thegerdchef, I’m @ricotheque from LyraThemes.
A possible cause for your problem might be a plugin that’s affecting the order of how your menu items are displayed on the site. Can you try disabling all your plugins and see if that fixes the problem?
You can just embed the video in the post, then just use a photo for the post thumbnail.
The great thing about WordPress is that you can just copy-paste in the URL of the video; the embed code will be auto-generated for you.
Have fun sharing videos!
