I will do some more tests and let you know., Thanks. One questions: how does the plugin handle emails sent out? in alphabetical order or with date of subscription order?
No, posts are sent for either category alone but not when both are marked. Just to clarify, I have one excluded category, a different one, for public subscribers but registered users are allowed to receive notifications. When I marked both allowed categories, none received email, neither the public nor the registered.

In reply to: Features gone – why?v3.9 is a mess.
1. Open link in new window for images no longer works in many cases. Cannot mark the box
2. There is no text sizing capability and it is gone from TinyMCE advanced
3. No border can be placed around images.
4. NO really new features, just rearrangement of old result in a major version.
Please someone let me know what the alternatives are because this is not going well. It’s time someone puts out a WP compatible core we can migrate to. I am tired spending my time in forums. New version breaks this plugin, this plugin breaks this version, and a lot of this crap.

In reply to: Text sizing and image bordersYes, it functions but the test adjustment is all that is missing. It has a new look with a menu of top but there is no text sizing feature. Where do you find yours? In the past there was a dropdown next to Paragraph dropdown box of WP. Now there is a new menu on top (Files, Edit, Insert, etc.) but no text sizing option.

In reply to: Text sizing and image bordersI have already TinyMCE Advanced and it seems they have messed it up. My question is how can a tool that purports itself as a blog platform does not have a text sizing feature? Thanks anyway. Yeah, another plugin, and another plugin, until everything goes bust.

In reply to: [Limit Login Attempts] Possible flaw in 1.7.1 facilitating DoSA honeypot will help only if you want to trace what he is doing in the network, it is like a trap. You actually do not need one, it is irrelevant. It seems that he is using some tool with parallel connections Even if you put the IP in the .htaccess, he may change it with a tool like ToR. You .htaccess can get so bug in one day that it will take your site down.

In reply to: Major problems with image editing in wp 3.9+1,
This 2.9 is a disgrace. These developers are just putting out serial upgrades and riskign creating many probles to users.
I cannot:
1. Add a simple border to an image
2. Select the image size after loding it
3. I CANNOT EVEN ADJUST TEXT SIZE
does anyone of you know how to ajust text size? The text size adjustement option is gone. NO code please. I am not a programmer. Just a user. I am looking for a more robust media to make blogs. Does anyone know of one?

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Acunetix WP Security – WordPress File ScanNo support for this plugin? Maybe time to move on to something else.
Since no support for this plugin, I did what I was supposed to do, got rid off it and used something else. It is ludicrous this plugin wants to show under each excerpt on the index page, something that all the other plugins along the same lines have an option not to and the authors have avoided to provide a hook for not doing that.

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] Exclusions@mattyrob, I appreciate your quick replies and the effort you are putting in making a good plugin even better.
IMO, as I already suggested, if the tab Subscribe2->Settings “Registered Users” is changed to Subscribe2->Settings “Public Users” and leave the “Allow registered users to subscribe to excluded categories” then it will be much clearer to me. I do not know about others. This is because, normally, registered users receive notifications from all categories but public users are restricted from some.
Maybe there should be two tabs to handle public and registered separately with exclusions. This would be best and more clear.

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] ExclusionsThen the Registered Users tab in settings should be renamed Public Users with the option to “Allow registered users to subscribe to excluded categories”.
Maybe this is what is confusing.

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] ExclusionsHello,
It does not behave as you said. When I followed your instruction and I excluded one category, all public subscribers received only notifications for that one excluded category and nothing from the others. I think you should test it yourself. I did exactly as you said above.
It is clear now to me that in Settings–> registered users, you are mixing up registered and public users. When I Exclude one category and I mark registered users to subscribe to excluded categories, it works for registered users but public users receive emails only for that excluded category and nothing from the others although they are checked. So I suspect a Boolean logic type of error there. Unless I missed something but I have tried everything. Either public and registered get all categories or when I exclude, public get only the excluded and registered get all ( as expected).

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] ExclusionsBut I think this will exclude registered users, not public users from that one category. Is that the case?
I other words, I think although I may be wrong that you provide capability to unsubscribe register subscribers from a given category but public subscribers that are not registered always receive notifications for all categories. Is this true?
Except if under Settings/register users you actually mean public subscribers that are not registered users, or you mean all public and registered combined?
I sense there may be some confusion between public and registered users.
