My workaround or interm solution is to use the Master Slider with the image and text below the image. This way the image and text are no longer fighting for the width of space. This slider works on all devices I tested, including blackberry models.
I should add that the iPhone 5 and iPhone size are being viewed in portrait size. When you flip them sideways (landscape), the master slider is responsive and viewing properly. The problem is that most users view their iPhones in portrait size.
Those instructions didn’t work for me either, as I never got a license key.
I’ve given up hope that Vasyl/AAM Support will respond, and tried several other plug-ins. I installed the Restrict User Access plugin, which is working well for me. I have a login which provides restricted access to particular pages and posts. I still had to use AAM to create the roles I needed, unfortunately.
Hi Andy, I have had no responses. I found this information below – which states as the end that AAM can send an extension file for a manual installation. I sent them a copy of my receipt as proof of payment, and I still have not received a response from support@wpaam.com or whimba@gmail.com.
Keep in touch if you hear anything.
Thank you,
RhondaFAILED to Install Extensions. What should I do?
Postby wpaam » Wed Jan 15, 2014 10:16 amThere are few reasons why you failed to Install Extension. All of them are listed below with proper approach to fix it.
REASON #1. Your license key is incorrect.
SOLUTION : Make sure that you copied the license key from the email that was sent to you right after the purchase.REASON #2. Your website does not allow to perform Remote Request. AAM uses wp_remote_request function to obtain the copy of requested Extension.
SOLUTION : If your website is running through secured proxy or firewall, deactivate it during Extension installation. Sometimes the reason can be that your website does not support cURL. In this case, contact your hosting provider and ask them to activate it for you.REASON #3. Your wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager/extension folder is not writable by PHP.
SOLUTION : Make sure that PHP has enough permissions to write files inside mentioned above folder.REASON #4. Your wp-content/aam folder does not exist or is not writable by PHP.
SOLUTION : Make sure that mentioned folder exists and PHP has enough permissions to write files inside above folder.REASON #5. Your website does not have ZipArchive PHP Library (in this case you are not able even update WordPress or install any plugins).
SOLUTION : Ask your hosting provider to install the library. In 99% if you are not missing anything, it should work. Otherwise, we can send the Extension for manual installation (Please notice! you will have to request the Extension each time you updated the AAM).
I also purchased the AAM Plus Package, and received my paypal confirmation email. There was a receipt number on it, I tried using that as the key. It did not work. I have emailed support@wpaam.com, and the email address listed on my receipt ‘whimba@gmail.com’. After sending 7 emails over the course of 2 weeks and not receiving a response, I’m starting to think I was ripped off. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
