I have the exact same problem and cannot find answers to this question! I have a working mediawiki installation right alongside my wordpress install however wordpress doesn’t allow you to access your site from behind your LAN if you have it set up to be viewable from outside.
E.g. Its one or the other. Either you view it behind your LAN perfectly and it is not accessible from the WAN, or you configure it to be accessible from the WAN and your stuffed when trying from the LAN.
Can the developers shed any light on this issue because a lot of people are confused!
