I do not know much html or css. but i understand how to edit add and remove html and css as i have done this many times. but not enough to create something from scratch. any suggestions?

Yeah, I thought that it would be simple with WP because its easy to just pop in from the back end and change text but we need like a list, or column or white board or just some designated area on the home page where the info will go. Not just text on the background you know? Any suggestions? Thanks.
