James, thanks for the extra bit of info and help. I’ll wait patiently for time to pass and hopefully I’ll be full steam ahead then. You’ve been a great help!

Someone suggested I point the nameservers to WordPress, and I wondered about it at the time. At any rate, they’ve been switched back to BlueHost.

Guessing it will take a few hours before I see the resolution/change on my end.

    Thanks for your help!

I redirected those this afternoon. It indicated it would take some time. Call me impatient. BlueHost is always good about doing what they say they’ll do. I also had the domain mapped by WordPress. I think I’m good now. I really do appreciate your help and your generous attitude.

James, I got this fixed. I now know my correct username and password (both saved somewhere) and I figured out how to disable the login-lockdown plugin via the developer.

BUT my self-hosted site now has another problem. When I log in, I do not go to the site had begun building, but to one with the primary site name, revolutionaryguttersdotcom.wordpress.com. How that got assigned, I’m not sure, but I’d like to know how to change it to revolutionarygutters.com, which is what we originally started out with. Any ideas?

Yes, I have access to the site via the Cpanel. What am I looking for and what should I do? I’ve never encountered anything like this before.

James, when I click through on the link, I get the login page for WordPress. I enter the username and password, and I generally (I’ve received different ones) receive an error that the username is invalid. Before I was locked out, I checked my account and know that I’m using the correct user name and password. However, as Eveama states in her message, I’ve changed the password trying to get in and I’m not sure now if the password is the original one we set up in the beginning, but any changes have been written down.

I just now tried again and received and “invalid username” message.

Thanks for your time and effort.
