Thanks for answering quickly. We have switched to Apache, now everything works as expected.
However, on the long run we’d prefer using ngix. Maybe one day a better suport for nginx is possible, without necessary manual configuration. Since this seems to be a problem with most WebP plugins, there is a lot of potential here – first come, first served ….
