Can you please advice about what plugin you recommend for this “issue”. The best would be to auto-resize within feedsapi but thats not an option.
Any eta for the feature about deleting posts with a “click” so we don’t have to mess around in the DB tot be able to reimport feed?

I have run into another issue … having the plugin set to use featured image from the rss feeds, my wordpress theme [ GoodNews 5.6.6 / main and 2 right sidebars ] act strange. In some of the feeds the featured images works just fins while in some others the make the 2 sidebars drop down under the main content area.

———————————–If i set the plugin NOT to use featured image and add the category image instead the problem is gone. So for now i have set the plugin not to use the featured image.

Thx for answering lightning fast 🙂http://www.hockeysverige.se/shl/feed/ is the url to the feed HOWEVER there is no ad in that rss feed as far as i can see BUT when you “click yourself into the post” the ad will show up.
Should i understand it like this … if I run into an issue with ads should I send the url to you or will there be a “user friendly buttun to click” in the plugin in rthe future? 🙂

On my site i sometimes and in some category look for the same as you do and the rss-feed i fetch from is other blogs. I am furtunate that they have tags to the category and produce a rss-feed from each taq.
So let’s say you like flowers and that’s a category, there is a lot of post in that category BUT you just want rss on TULIPS. Then, lets say you want just YELLOW TULIPS and then you can look for a feed like this.
http://www.anysitenamehere.com/category/tulip/yellow/feed – if you are lucke maybe the site you are feetching from is organized this way, that i don’t know. I hope you undertsnd how i’m thinking over here is a SUPHOT south sweden … “water, i need water” 🙂
The “example” above should result in feed/rss ONLY for Yellow tulips even if the site is about flowers in general.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Issues after updating to WP 3.9After installing the “new” import_posts.php provided (and upgrade to 2.67.5) by Allen I did an update to WP 3.9.1 and all is up and running. So, for now, my issues are gone. Thanks Allen for all the support you do for us 🙂

I gave you login credentials to both my subdomains a while ago, one with 3.8.3 installed and the other with 3.9 and as far as i can see you did log in but you didn’t gave any feedback.Forum: Plugins

I have now tested with 40 different rss-feeds on 3.8.3 and 3.9 and the results are the same.
All works 100 % on 3.8.3 (feed to post and shortcode) but switching to 3.9 SHORTCODE works 100 % but FEED TO POST does not.
I have tested on different servers, contacted tech-people on 3 different host where one is a friend of mine and he has tested at HOST-END and get the same result as i do.
As told before i have also set up to new subdomains, one with 3.9 and one with 3.8.3 and the results are as above.
Allen, don’t get me wrong but since more users report this issue i doubt it’s related to feeds, correct me if i’m wrong. Remember, SHORTCODE works, FEED TO POST does not.

This update fixed it – no more blank screen!
Good job fixing this sp fast. Now i can go back to do some more testing of the plugin – case closed!Soon i’ll be back with some stuff i would like to see in this otherwise very good plugin 😉

I do not claim to have the ultimate solution but i did as follow:
- backup db and all other stuff
- went back to wp 3.8.3
- installed db and all other stuff
- sat down and await Allen’s pro solution 🙂
That worked for me and my site http://www.redhawkssupport.se is up and running with new design and also maximized use of Allen’s plugin.
I think 😉 and hope that Allen is going to spend the weekend finding out what’s wrong 😉
That’s what i would recommend you to do – as written, it worked for me. I also created a sub domain that i from now on use to test new plugin and all other stuff i like to add BEFORE adding them to the main site so i don’t have to spend hours fixing things just becouse i try to be a man and refuse to backup stuff ;).
