In reply to: wordpress.org style themeThanks for the posts. I feel better informed. I wish I was better at coming up with my own nice designs. I just wanted to gain inspiration from other designs and wordpress.org just really stood out.

In reply to: wordpress.org style themeIt looks like whooami is right. I don’t see any copyright protection labels anywhere. I just wish I can find a theme that looks very similar to wordpress.org’s. I also like the simple menu system where you can click one of the main topics at the top and then be able to click on subtopics on the dark gray menu on the right. This is almost exactly what I would like to accomplish on my website. It’s really pleasant to navigate. Any tips on how to do that?

In reply to: wordpress.org style themeOk thanks. I have looked at dozens of wp themes but haven’t found one that was quite as nice as wordpress.org’s – at least for what I want to do. I guess that’s why it’s copyrighted. I will continue my search. If any one knows of a specific theme off hand, please let me know.

In reply to: wordpress.org style themeThanks for your quick reponse, macmanx. Does anyone know of any templates that come close to wordpress.org’s without infringing on copyright violations? In general, I really like the simple top menu and the pleasant, but not drab, monochromatic appearance. I like the fact that it looks kind of like a traditional newspaper. Thanks for your feedback.
