Hi @jordesign. This is a good question – as far as I understand this happened after the last TwentyTwentyThree theme update, but I’m uncertain.
Until few weeks ago (maybe a month) everything worked well, but then I noticed that some of my RTL text got switched to LTR.
When I opened the editor I noticed this new language menu that was not there before (as far as I remember). I tried using it on my paragraph sections one by one – and this seams cumbersome, so I opened this topic to try and find a way to set everything in one place instead of one by one.
Eventually I did go over one by one and changed the text direction. The only problem I have now is with text that have both hebrew text and english text in the same line while set to RTL and to the right alignment
The english text and the numbers are set backwards so instead of Group Expert I see trepxE puorG and the number is set to 586,41 instead of 14,685
if I don’t set heb and RTL in the new menu – in the editor it’s looks good:
But in the real site it’s wrong – the text is not RTL and the line is scrambled – so instead of starting with ืื ื Group Expert it’s in the end of the line etc:
As you can see in the above picture the text is scrambled so the 2 first words are set to the left and then the 3rd one is back to the right etc.
And when I set the language and text direction the english and numbers are reversed both in the editor and the live site:
again – until recently I had no problems… How can I set text that have both hebrew and english text to RTL and right align but to keep the text order correctly?

Thanks @maybellyne As I mentioned before – When I go to WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Homepage I don’t see the “regular” Yoast SEO screen I added in my screenshot above but rather something else:
So if I want to get the “regular” Yoast SEO screen in my homepage FSE template I will have to wait for you to develop the feature request you mentioned.

Hi @maybellyne Thanks for your reply. So in order to edit the homepage SEO setting I should use the Content Types > Homepage you mentioned – right? The settings there looks different from the regular Yoast SEO settings that I’m used to:

Hi @foosantos I’m trying to build my site with as little plugins as possible.
As far as I understand the idea with the WordPress Block Editor is that it aims to work similar to other external page builders such as elementor or WPBakery Page Builder etc – right?
As far as I know such an ย Automatic carousel is basic part of those page builders so in my opinion is should be part of the WordPress Block Editor without using external plugins.
Hi @jordesign and @zoonini, I noticed something interesting – it turn out that there is some kind of Button Hover Effect as part of the theme – If I add a button without changing the colors etc – I get a basic hover effect.
I can’t control it (i.e. set the color I want etc) – but as long as I use the theme default (that I can set) there is a built in hover effect as part of the theme.
Hi @jordesign Thanks for your help – I see that this issue is opened from 2018 and I don’t think that it will be added soon.
It looks that the plugins you mentioned do exactly what I need – but I’m really trying to build my site with minimal plugins and modification so I try to use only the WordPress Editor / Twenty Twenty-Three theme.
I guess I will wait until it will be incorporated to the WordPress Editor directly.
Hi @jordesign Thanks for your help. The interesting thing is that is was set to 0 but it did not work, I had to manually change it so higher number and then back to 0 – and only then it worked.
