In reply to: Question about best practice – Mobile site redirectThanks for your thoughts pxforti. There are a lot of plugins available with many installs listed. It would be interesting to hear if people think it actually does affect their SEO.

In reply to: [Wp-Pro-Quiz] One test with multiple resultsHi Sarah,
The way I did it was by going to where you can view the questions in you quiz. Then check the boxes for the first category you want.
A pop up box will appear. Create a new category. Then click “create” and then “save”.
Now repeat if you have more categories.
Then when you receive an email with results or the user sees their results it will show the score for each category.
If I haven’t explained that very well let me know and I’ll put up a video.
Enjoy!

In reply to: [Wp-Pro-Quiz] One test with multiple resultsI’ve figured this out. Using categories you can get the different marks.

In reply to: Removing a link for adwordsHi,
So I contacted McAfee again and I’ll see what happens with them. If google is flagging it because of them that would be interesting. You’d imagine that they would be using their own service but there you go.
I’ll keep you posted on how this plays out. Should be an interesting one.
As always thanks for the suggestions.

In reply to: Removing a link for adwordsJust an update on this. Adwords wrote the following about the redirect … ” The issue won’t be fixed if you redirect the link to main page. The issue here is not with the page, it is with the malware affected to the page. The issue can be only fixed, if the malware is removed from the source code.”
So … any ideas what I should try with this?

In reply to: Removing a link for adwordsThats a good point. I’ve just sent them an email so I’ll let you know when they reply. The fact that they didn’t notice the 404 confuses things. Hopefully their next email will clarify things.
Thanks again for the suggestions they are very helpful.

In reply to: Removing a link for adwordsYes it’s a shame that it has the blacklisting but I’m still hoping they will get back to me on it. I’ll give them a bit more time and then see where I need to go with it.
Google were fantastically quick. Even adwords have been very nice about the whole situation though as you say the page doesn’t exist. They emailed me a screenshot of the 404 screen to show me what they saw and they still asked me to remove the page??

In reply to: Removing a link for adwordsHi wslade,
Thanks for your response. I have already contacted McAfee. Unfortunately the person who owned this domain before me had gotten the domain name into a bit of trouble by the look of things.
Google originally had the same rating as McAfee but they have rechecked it and removed the blacklisting a year ago. McAfee have not been so quick to respond on the matter.
I’m baffled by the link myself. I just tried removing it on webmaster tools and as you predicted I just got “incorrectly formatted URL” error.
