In reply to: Align Tagline with Title/Centre blog titleNo I want it like this:
HELLO WORLD
Hello WorldRather than:
HELLO WORLD
Hello WorldThe default is to have the tagline slightly to the left as above..and in general setting where you edit the title and tagline it doesn’t work to simply put a space before the first letter of the tagline.
I think i need to edit the padding or something so it is to the same alignment as the title

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkAh brilliant! That worked, thanks esmi!
Just wished I had known about the need for creating a child theme when I first installed..does this mean that all my template changes previous to me creating the child theme will be lost once the theme is updated?..Or if I copy all my edited templates i.e footer.php ect into my child theme will that preserve my changes?
[No bumping]

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkOh sorry I didn’t realise the reason you shouldn’t edit the main theme is because changes will be lost once it’s updated. Ok so I’ve created my child theme via my ipage hosting account..from here do you know what Htmp I need to edit to make the desired changes?

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkAh ok. The theme should have been created with these things already in place and ready for edit, would have made things so much easier. Also why there is a no ‘restore default’ button/option in the appearance editior for all the templates is beyond me..there really should be one incase someone forgets to backup the default htmp before edit

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkOk I’ll do that then. do you know how to align the tagline so that it is inline with the site title by any chance? Again it is the default of the theme to have the tagline slightly to the left of the title..it is the only other problem i can’t seem to resolve ha

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkOk that’s fine I will create a child theme but in terms of the ‘bookmark the permalink’ problem..it’s not as a result of my edits as it is the default of this theme to have that appear after every posts along with ‘posted by admin’
I’d just like to know if there’s any way of removing that or what html code I need to type into my template .php pages to remove it.

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkI just want to remove it so the page looks cleaner or more tidy as it serves no purpose to the visitor to click on that link

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkThe problem is I have already made a great deal of edits in my editor so don’t really want to un-edit as the website is looking really good..but yeah i might do that from now for future edits.
Andrew – the problem is not a problem as such as it is the default of the theme to have that line after all post entries in 2011..it’s been there from when I first installed.

In reply to: Remove bookmark the permalinkHi, ah I can’t post a link as it is quite a secretive site at the minute aha ;)..I think it’s a common problem alot of people have being experiencing..don’t understand why it’s even there! Looks quite unattractive for site visitors.
It is on the same line as posted by admin at the bottom of every blog post in the twenty eleven theme
