In reply to: database connection problems with Gate.comEverything is spelled correctly. I have re-downloaded the zip file and replaced it, retyped the data, and still having the same problem.
I noticed that you offer a free install. Would this be a better route for me to go?

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql.markmeza.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

In reply to: database connection problems with Gate.comOn the link I posted it said:
define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘mysql.mydomain.com’);
Which is what I did. I talked to gate.com and they said my database is fine. It has a server, name, username, and password.I would like to resolve this issue with the current host I have. I know a few people who use gate with WP and their site works just fine. So I know it can be done.
