I’m having the same issue for many (all?) password-protected pages. Entering correct password does’t work.
I disabled all plugins, switched to twenty-eleven theme, made page public and set up another password, cleared browser cache and accessed from private browser window. Nothing works.
I have WP 4.3.1 on Arvixe hosting.
