Hi @webboy10169 can you confirm if it’s WP User Avatars, Post Snippets or contact form 7 that breaks the feed. My guess would be Post Snippets, if it’s injecting content into posts that the RSS feed does not like.

This is interesting, I also have Jetpack installed on my main podcast, which uses SSP, and I don’t get the same error. I also notice that your feed has the following error in the Chrome console. Resource interpreted as Stylesheet but transferred with MIME type application/xml: “http://8bitbros.us/wp-content/plugins/seriously-simple-podcasting/templates/feed-stylesheet.xsl”.

Are you able to disable all other plugins on the staging site, except Seriously Simple Podcasting and Jetpack, and switch to the default 2019 theme, and see what happens. I have a feeling this is another plugin or theme conflict.

The other option could be some Jetpack setting I don’t have enabled, but if this is the case, switching the site to only having the two plugins and the default theme enabled, will allow us to dig into Jetpack from there.

Thank you to everyone for your feedback. This test seems to point to either an issue with the hosting of the audio files, or a bug with Google Podcasts.

I am working with @kimstuart to run some tests on their website, once I’ve been able to investigate some options I’ll feedback to everyone here.

We’re investigating how/whether locally hosting your files can lead to this problem with Google Podcasts. I’ve tested two sites so far, and they both play as expected on Google Podcasts, however both sites’ files are hosted externally and not on their local WP site’s server.

Hi @khromov We’ve identified that this issue is related to a larger issue we’ve had on our radar for a few months – https://github.com/TheCraigHewitt/Seriously-Simple-Podcasting/issues/327

We are prioritising this, but it requires a large refactor of the player code. As soon as it is tested and ready we’ll push out a plugin update.
