In reply to: [Longevity] Blue box on IE8 for all pagesI apologize, and I’m an idiot. 🙁 It isn’t 8, it is IE 11, and I even checked before writing this. I guess IE 8 was stuck in my head.
It’s 11.1358.14393
thank you again!

In reply to: Front Page (only) broken after domain changeOk, nevermind, it appears to be working now.
This is interesting though. I had the plugin ‘Supercache’ installed, but turned off, and I had, through admin, cleared all the files. When I went into the wp-content/cache directory, there was nothing, but when I went into the supercache directory under there, it had two folders, one for each domain. In the new domain folder I found the OLD index.htm file, which is what was being served!
When I deleted the folder and refreshed my site, it came up fine.
Good to know, but Supercache probably shouldn’t do that! 🙂

In reply to: Calling pages instead of postsI’m curious, how exactly would you put multiple pages on one page? I think the reason you can’t put pages is because of their functionality. In other words, a ‘page’ is designed as a one-shot, all-in-one item such as, for instance, an “About” page or “Disclaimer”, whereas posts already do both.
Posts can be listed on a page, but posts can themselves also APPEAR as pages. So not only is there a logical question of ‘multiple pages on one page’ but there is the ‘why’ when the functionality exists already.

In reply to: Front Page (only) broken after domain changeUpdate:
Ok, it appears that I can access my static front page via http://www.novusimperia.net/WPBlog/front-page/If I set options to view articles instead of a static page, I get the “you should not see this text” when I click on the appropriate link, but the front page that comes up does not change.
Where is this coming from?
I went back and changed all references in wp_options to the old page (there were 4 other than the siteurl I had already changed) over to the new one, but still no resolution. Please help!

In reply to: changing the name of one of the tabs across the top of the site🙂 No, I think Ornani means that we need a link to your site to see what you are talking about. Also, are you using a theme, and if so which one?
Edit: NM-posted just as you were putting the link back up again.

In reply to: Atahualpa and Category Menu Bar… and moments later he stumbles across the answer himself. Hopefully this will help somebody else, though.
So you have to enable the category header bar in the ‘Header’ section of the theme options.
Add “%cats” somewhere in the “Configure Header Area” section to make it show up.
ta-DA!
🙂
Thanks!
-MattOn a side note, though, if anyone should have an idea of how to make the search box and other Atahualpa right side logo section stuff overlay on the image too (like the title does), I’d love the info!
