Hi Finn, here are some screenshots that should help explain the current approach.

You’re correct. After a certificate is earned, there is no shortcode or block to show that single earned certificates right now, only all of them. Even in the current 2.0 build, there’s not a great solution that doesn’t require passing in a certificate ID.
I think we can get a better approach added for 2.0 with some small changes. We’ll include something to support this in the free version.
Hi @adampaine , we just finished building exactly this! It’s going to be a premium feature that’s part of the 2.0 releases. Tentatively I’m expecting those in about two weeks.
To confirm, the system will scan for prior course completions and then award new certificates based on those records (so there is no certificate migration or import, it will scan for course completions and award certificates based on that).
I’ll tentatively close the ticket since it’s built and there’s no open action right now, but feel free to add to the thread if you have more questions.
Hi @adampaine , I just wanted to confirm that we released a solution for this in today’s 1.1 update. I hope that helps, and reach out if you have any more feedback or suggestions!
Thanks @adampaine ! We’ll plan to incorporate that into the next major update. Realistically, it’s probably about a month away, but we’ll see what we can do.
I’ll tentatively close this ticket just because the request has been captured.
Hi @adampaine , thanks for the feedback!
Another user suggested the same thing, and in the next release we will add support for “any” trigger types for the various completion triggers.
I wanted to explain why it wasn’t added initially though. For context, I cofounded Uncanny Owl, and led support for all of our LearnDash plugins. One consistent issue we faced was with certificate naming when presenting certificate lists (since LearnDash used the title of the certificate). So if we were to output a certificate list, and someone mapped a course certificate to 50 courses, a user completing all of them would see a list of 50 certificates with the same name. Our general recommendation was to map one certificate to one item, so that’s what we did for this 1.0 release to keep things simpler.
What would be your preference for naming earned multi-trigger certificates if we output them in a front-end list? Have a dynamic naming system that accepts trigger tokens (e.g. “%course_name% Certificate”), or would you approach it a different way?
We will definitely add the feature, but we’re open to input about how best to handle naming for certificates that get reused.
Thanks!
