In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Still intermittently getting garbled output on blog(to clarify, once the page was in a garbled state, it was garbled for every visitor until the cache was cleared).

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Still intermittently getting garbled output on bloghi donncha – I wasn’t logged in at the time and static caching was disabled (“half on” mode), so I was being served with a legacy cached page. I requested the page using Safari on OS X.
A possibly interesting thing of note is that the page may have been made garbled for subsequent visitors by a previous visitor using firefox on linux as they tweeted that the page looked messed up (the first time in a few weeks in fact)… when I went to visit the page, sure enough it was garbled. Not sure if this is a complete red herring, I am just trying to give as much information as possible.
Thanks for your help

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Junk / Garbled Text PagesHmm, I just looked at the change log and the mod_deflate fix is in 0.7.1.
Is there any way of disabling Super Cache from gzipping the “half on” files just to avoid this problem for now?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Junk / Garbled Text PagesI too am seeing the garbled text intermittantly since upgrading to WP 2.6.1 and WP Super Cache 0.7.1, even with Super Cache only “Half On” – everything was perfect before that.
Is the mod_deflate fix in for 0.7.1?
Its a bummer that I have had to go back to WP Cache to get around this problem as Super Cache is WAY better!
