In reply to: installing a different themeThat’s difficult to answer because it all depends on your individual website, what theme you are using now, what theme you want to change to, your sidebar setup, what things you want/need to change etc etc.
If you have a well established website, switching themes can involve a bit of work and theme customisation to make it all look good again. Consider setting up a local site to get everything correct before switching the live site as suggested above.

In reply to: What do you think of our site, Nordic Personal TrainingTo me the design seems to be more suited to a photography or portfolio site, but it looks professional enough.

In reply to: Remove Links From FooterSounds like a shady theme. Do yourself a favour and choose another theme to use. There are plenty of other good free, GPL themes available.

In reply to: Theme instalationYou just need to set up the theme and add content. However on the themes page at ThemeForest there is a link to a video that shows you how to set up the theme with demo data. Have a look at that.
It’s a commercial theme so if you need help you will need to check the theme documentation / set up instructions or seek support from the developer.

In reply to: frameworkA theme framework is basically a flexible foundation theme which can be used as is, built upon, or child themes added onto for different styles. (Genesis and Thesis). A normal WordPress theme (i.e. Solostream and the majority of other themes) are stand alone themes and just work as is. You just install the theme in WordPress and use.
Each option has their pros and cons, but it really comes down to which designs you like the best and which works best for your needs.
There are SEO plugins and many other plugins you can use to optimize or add functionality to your site.

In reply to: Looking for an eCommerce template. Shopperpress?I can’t really comment on ShopperPress, but I would recommended looking at WooCommerce http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/woocommerce/. It’s arguably the best ecommerce solution for WordPress these days. It’s free and there are heaps of extensions, and themes available for it.

In reply to: HELP!!! My home page is ugly! How do I fix the middle band where the search boxes are and the “Add Listing” box is???
That’s a bit vague.
It looks like you’ve got a custom child theme that runs on the commercial Genesis Framework, so you probably should seek support from the person who made it, or from StudioPress (the maker of Genesis), or hire a WordPress developer if you’re very new to WordPress.

In reply to: Best Theme for my purposeDifficult to recommend specific themes, but there are quite a few WordPress themes around specifically designed for churches that include church specific features. Just do a search for church WordPress themes.

In reply to: Which WordPress Theme or Plugin the Website is using? They are not WordPress sites. Those two sites are from the same publishing network so would be custom made themes and social widgets.

In reply to: Themeforest ScamThere are some very good developers and themes on ThemesForest, but unfortunately many poor ones. It really is a case of buyer beware when purchasing a theme from a marketplace like ThemeForest.
If you’re not really sure what to look for when purchasing a commercial WordPress theme, its best to stick with the main reputable premium theme companies.

In reply to: Struggling to upload a theme! Error message! Are you uploading the actual theme zip file? Some developers (i.e themes from themeforest) package the theme zip file within another zip folder containing other large items such as PSD source files etc, which will cause problems.
