This is not our theme issue. This option is an inbuilt WordPress option. If you want to hide then goto Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Choose Post for which you want to disable comments. Edit Post and on the right side below you can see Discussion > Uncheck Allow comments.

For your second issue use this custom CSS:

.previous a {
	line-height: 30px;
}

    background: #D3D3D3;
    padding: 30px 0 30px;
}
.blog-site-title h1 {
    color: black;
}

For 1st query, Please use this custom CSS:

.main-navigation {
    float: right;
    padding-top: 0;
}

And for the second issue, if you are using any caching plugin on your site then you can generate a new cache from that plugin and see if that helps. Lastly, editing the theme file code will get wiped on the theme update. So, prefer using a child theme for custom works. Thank you.

Are you referring to navigation and menu bar, the only white text on a black background is I can see on your site? If yes then please use this custom CSS:

.navigation {
    background: #D3D3D3;
}

nav li a {
    color: black;
}

You can use your own desired color as per requirement.

    visibility: hidden;
}
