Hi maryka0, I tested sirenn.co.za from outside (curl, SpeedVitals, DebugBear) and logged-out visitors don’t see 5s. Cached pages come back in under 1s from South Africa, and the uncached cart is about 1.8s of server time. I also reproduced a ~5.9s TTFB locally (same WP 7.1.2 and WooCommerce 11.1.2) by blocking outbound HTTP, which fits your symptoms.
Could you check:
- Is the 5s only when you’re logged in or in wp-admin?
- Query Monitor > HTTP API Calls on a slow page: any rows at 3 to 5s or “cURL error 28”?
- If that panel is empty, run “wp profile stage –all” and “wp profile hook” (or ask xneelo to) and paste the slowest stage.
Then we can tell if it’s outbound requests or something else.
