In reply to: Export WP then Import WP, then back it up.Ok here’s a update. godaddy switched me from a windows to Lynix and fixed my problem. So this is 90% answered.
1- I did try to down load it with filezilla, not one file came down. Error, Error, Error. So it’s NOT backed up.
2- When the URL (Thank you very much!) is now proper. Once proper. I started cleaning up my blog. Starting from the end. Added BRAN NEW IMAGES. Looked great.
By today at 6pm all the new images were gone.
http://postcardtravelers.com/Events,calendar/europe/WP made a 2001/07 folder to put images in and no longer there. So now what?

I just want to change it to be a ‘hosting folder’. When it’s all said and done it will sit exactly where it’s at now @ ‘http://playback.net/postcardtravelers/”
Can’t I just change the folder name from /postcardtravelers/” to ‘\postcardtravelers/”. (btw I do want to back it up). What folder do I back up? postcardtravelers/wp-admin/ wp-admin or both?
So I could download then upload. But it will be to the same spot.
I’m familiar with FTP and moving a folder is that same as ‘phpMyAdmin’ and doing this will.
And to be clear my URL (permlink?) will not be effected? Current Post example:

when fixed should read?

PS Sorry about putting my post where I did, I couldn’t find where to add a question to the forum?? You guys can look up technical stuff, but I don’t even know what I’m asking to ask. But I kinda understand. I took a class in ‘HTML’ in 1999. That’s it. I’ve been winging it on the web sense. So I don’t know ‘SQL’ and ‘PHP’.
