Hi cathy98,
Yes. By default, our plugin uses basic designs of the default WordPress themes to insert itself into Post/Pages. Also, our default layouts limit you to either a floating vertical share bar or top/bottom horizontal share bars.
However, you can apply code directly to a custom theme’s HTML/PHP code in order to get as many widgets and different styles onto the same page/post as well as custom pages/posts are that are powered by the theme, such as a “portfolio” page.
I recommend looking through our Integration Guide to get started on how to use Po.st through HTML code in your site rather than the plugin.
Hi Cathay98,
Po.st officially supports the following ‘channels’ through our buttons:
http://support.po.st/hc/en-us/articles/200251168-Channels-and-buttonsMany of our buttons come with predetermined looks and styles that you see in our “Step-by-step wizard”, but are also 100% customizeable. If you have a particular list of buttons with a particular look that you want, let me know and I’ll try to get you some examples.
Hi rmbsrm,
Would you be able to provide a link to the plugin you describe as well as a link to your site?
I’d like to help you with this issue, but I’m afraid I don’t completely understand it. If you want, please email support@po.st or go to our direct support page http://support.po.st , submit a request and we can try to help you in a more private and direct manner.
Hi Parag.kathare,
We count the button click as a share, and this is also reflected in our counters.
The reason we do this is because Social API reports don’t have an official “confirmed share” callback yet. Meaning, there isn’t a technological way to confirm that a click on our buttons officially resulted in a share on a social network.
However, if a Social Network API like Facebook, provides a counter for official shares, and that counter is larger than our internal click counter, we use their number for the counter until you click.
Hopefully that helps explains the situation you describe.
Sincerely,
Po.st Support
