Kind of hard to do, when your documentation is outdated or just skips very important pieces of setup. Fix your documentation!

I am having the same problem. It looks like the mystique theme creates a lot of seperate scripts and stylesheets to load, which decreases page load time. I switched from a modified 2010 theme to Mystique (which looks absolutely wonderful, BTW!), but since the switch the page load time is unbelievably slow. I have Yslow and Firebug installed on Firefox and am trying to troubleshoot all the issues.
