It is still an issue for us. It means extra work for the Administrator of the WordPress MU service setting up new sites as we wanted 2 groups in our domain to have the permissions to setup and administer sites but because of the problems recognising groups have had to restrict access to one distinct group .

Has anyone contacted you with a solution to this as we are also experiencing the same problem when we add a group with it’s full DN as requested we cannot login either.

In reply to: Users can log on withtout a password!! LDAP Plugin usedMany, many thanks Mercime. The first thing I should have checked was if there was a newer version available which had this fixed. We have installed it and it works fine. An error message appears that the password field is blank and so it prevents a user logging on until that is done. If the user uses a wrong password it will only allow 2 more attempts to login.

We set the default of ‘No’ for the ‘single sign-on’ option when configuring this plugin.
