In reply to: Theme Twenty Fourteen – remove green hover on menuDick,
Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into that.
Regarding my comment about the 10 million child themes I am not missing the point. I do get it. It’s been done, but it’s still worthless until I can locate and eliminate the green and that is my main focus – eliminating the green.Anyway, I do appreciate your help.

In reply to: Theme Twenty Fourteen – remove green hover on menuFirst of all let me apologize for losing it! I just got extremely frustrated when the question that I asked was totally ignored and all this child theme stuff was instead the main focus.
The thing is simply this it does not matter if we create 10 million child themes if we can not identify the css that needs to be changed. That is what I was actually wanting to know and after viewing my first post again I can see that I probably did not make that clear, but in my second post I did state that I did know the name of that area/function. Two of us have looked at the css and we still have not been able to figure which css code pertains to the green hover block that comes on the top menu we created. We don’t want a hover block of any color on the menu, so if some one could please steer us in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
See the site hereThank you and have a great day,

In reply to: Theme Twenty Fourteen – remove green hover on menuAgain I don’t know what you mean when you say a child theme and all I want to change is to get rid of that horrid green block on the menu, so are you saying that I have to create this child theme (whatever that is) to make whst should be one simple change? Sorry, but I am really not understanding what you are saying.

In reply to: Theme Twenty Fourteen – remove green hover on menuok well I am very new to WordPress so I have no idea what you mean by a child theme for changes. As for a custom CSS plugin would that the like the CSS editor in Jetpack? If so how do I use it to get rid of the green block? I have no idea what the developer has named this area/function. Can I please get a little more detailed help, please?

In reply to: Theme p Twenty Fourteen Color Changei did download Jetpack and used the Edit CSS, and insert the CSS, but the content area is still white. I am really a little shocked that it should be such a complex process to change a simple color for a specific section of a site.
I am finished with this blog except for that one thing, so yeah I am more than a little frustrated at this point. I do appreciate your help. thank you.Forum: Themes and Templates
