Glad to hear it’s not being ignored Aristotel! The issue exists with both recurring events being edited and exclusions to recurring events being edited.
Would be great to have a fix soon. The plug is great otherwise but this issue is a huge thorn in our secretary’s side as it’s creating a lot of unnecessary work.

We are running version 2.3.8 and have been experiencing the same issue with both recurring and excluded events. Creating a recurring event is no issue, love that it can be an entirely custom series! However when we go back and add additional dates, the calendar backs everything up a day.
Additionally if we’ve excluded dates and need to change any of them, making any changes to excluded dates also backs up all excluded dates by one day.
With many groups/events for our church and school this is a BIG problem. Please let us know the ETA for a fix to be in place!
