thank you for your help! With the filter setting and the brackets in the biography field, I could fix it really fast and easily!
(And I’ve also learned something about the filters, getting more independent, yay! :))

An additional question: Just wanted to understand the logic behind it all and tried some things (again).

I’ve just put this line: “add_filter(‘get_the_author_description’, ‘qtrans_useCurrentLanguageIfNotFoundUseDefaultLanguage’);” (Enabled function name compatibility of course) to qtranslate-x/qtranslate_hooks.php and now, the biographies are translated, too (plus brackets).

That’s how I’ve tried to do it before, but nothing happened, the line was ignored (if that’s even possible) and my original problem came up.

So: What is the difference between adding this line to the hooks.php of qTranslate-X and the functions.php of the respective theme?

sadly I couldn’t work it out with the proposed line – the whole blog crashed after that (would have to do it again to know the exact error, but as I’m a total noob I probably shouldn’t). So I guess I’m betteroff waiting for the next release. When will the next release be out? 🙂
