Thanks for your thoughts. After I added my FTP settings to the wp-config.php file the plugin started working perfectly!

The reason why I accessed it directly is because the plugin doesn’t update my wordpress installation. I don’t get an error or receive an email. I figured that if I access it directly I will be able to find out why it doesn’t work.
The plugin is properly installed and is activated. Do you have any clue why it won’t initiate?
