I’ve installed WP 2.6 through Fantastico and got the same problems with UTF-8. Writing a post in Ukrainian and Russian Languages resulted in Question Marks like that: “?????????? ??????”. I tried everything and nothing helped, so, lastly, I downloaded the same WP 2.6 from your web site (wordpress.org), installed it and everything worked perfect!
Just curious: Is that the bug in Fantastico or problems with my Hosting? (Because I completely reinstalled WP through Fantastico several times that did not help…)
But hopefully everything works fine now with installation downloaded from wordpress.org. If You’ve got problems use that instead.Forum: Installing WordPress

In reply to: define (‘WPLANG’, ‘nl_NL’); doesn’t workI’ve got the same problem. WordPress version 2.6. None of the above helps. I use SiteGround Hosting -> Fantastico. PHP version 5.2.5, MySQL version 4.1, Architecture i686. Tried with German, Russian and Ukrainian Localizations. Still see English on the Screen. Any more Ideas on how to change those lines? Or is it something else?
