    Thanks for getting back and answering my questions.
    The link to the snippets will be helpful even though they are not complete
    (I remember adding some code on github issues, e.g. hcaptcha, ignoring fields for saving submissions, etc.)

    Trust is something you earn with support and releases. So far, I’ve done my best to be active in this forum and put out bug fixes to the plugin. All while trying to make development play nice with my current workflow.

    Not only support and releases but also communication and transparency.
    Neither the previous owner nor you informed any of the users about the owner change (link).
    Plus, if your style is to code in private (which is fine btw), you could have given us this information before making the repo private – some completed issues contain necessary code parts.

    2024: you suggest to install an older versions of a plugin. Security should always be the number one subject: so I will look for alternative products instead of going back in time. Plus, I already told you, that in the past the plugin used to work – but the current one not. If you want to debug, then you dont do it with older versions.

    Then you call me a non-programmer and in the thread I mention multiple times I work with a local development and a production site. Wow, just wow. I am a web developer for 20 years.

    PS: its a new default wordpress installation with default theme and all plugins disabled but hey, what do I know as a non programmer.

    A) You refer to a ticket but should know that wordpress.org has a support section for each plugin. Thats what I was refering too. If you prefer to work on tickets, then mention it in the support thread here

    B) I know it takes a lot of time – nobody said something different. And I reported a problem, gave you all requested infos about setup, checking with default theme, plugins, etc. And after all you write: did you try to re-install it. wow

    C) It wouldnt change anything if I had left a positive review before because I would update it to the same rating as long as the plugin is not usable. As stated I was able to use it for a very long time and didnt change the setup. And before reviewing I reported the bug and tried to get it fixed with you but was left with questions for web beginners.

    These are always the fist things:
    – deactivating > reactivating > Check
    – deactivating > uninstall > reinstall > activating > Check

    Sorry but thats not real support, just newbie questions and I switched successfully to another replace plugin. Works without a problem on local dev and live production site.

    Default Theme (Twenty Twenty Four)
    WordPress (6.4.3)
    Plugins all disabled except EMR
    (local development)

    No show:

    On the live website, its also not showing up.

    Well, I use the plugin for many years. This is the first time its not showing up in the media overview and media detail view.
    As if it isnt really registered.

    Hej Jory, thanks for checking and fixing this bug!

    I can confirm, the dev version supports changing the settings with Firefox. There is an initial error “undefined” with a red icon after changing the settings but after a page refresh it’s gone.

    Thanks a lot (for the super quick response).

    I hope we can debug this.

    Hi Rogier, thanks a lot for the quick response.

    I used the action to remove the banner for certain post types.
    If anyone needs the final code, here it is:

    add_action( 'admin_init', 'cmplz_my_remove_metabox' );
    function cmplz_my_remove_metabox(){
      if( !in_array( get_post_type(), array("ctp1","cp2") ) ) remove_action('add_meta_boxes', 'cmplz_add_hide_cookiebanner_meta_box',10);
    }

    Hi @lapzor

    I disabled the Honey Pot check for the field length as it seems to be buggy.
    My dynamically added fields are not counted correctly and the positive sending is just the normal behaviour of the Honey Pot check.

    So this is a very very bad workaround because it is a global setting and doesn’t help securing the forms.
