Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can't Change Crop of Thumbnails in GalleryI’ve looked around in the theme settings and I don’t see anything that would set the thumbnail size. Is there somewhere particular I should check?
The theme is SuperNova, though I’m not settled on that theme though, I’m just using it while I try to decide on an Image Gallery Plugin – that has been a whole other headache in itself.
Anyway the address of the page I’m having trouble with is
http://nflpastplayers.com/troy-aikmen/ — just don’t pay attention to too much else. I’ve been trying out different themes and plugins for about 2 weeks.
Thanks.OK, I’ll give that a try.

In reply to: [Photo Gallery by 10Web - Mobile-Friendly Image Gallery] Can Gallery Do This?Well thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately, I don’t think your plugin is what I’m looking for.OK, But is it still possible to remove the featured image from the post while displaying it on archive pages and the home page?
Disabled every plugin and tried 3 different themes.
Still cannot edit the thumbs in the Manage Gallery tab.I’m starting to think the issue is with my theme. I’ve tried 2 different plugins specifically made to edit featured image thumbnails and they have no effect either.
I’m going to try some other themes to see what I can com eup with.Nope.
Tried to crop in the media library as well. Didn’t work.
Cleared image cache and used the regenerate thumbnail plugin too.
Still will not crop. The thumbs for the gallery are fine. The crop is just right. It’s the featured images on the home page for the posts that is not cropped right.

In reply to: [WordPress Photo Gallery by Gallery Master] Can Galleries be Created by Tags?Well it only took a week for you to respond…………….
But can I do what I described above? Can I “filter” with tags? Use exclusive tags to get specific results? Kind of like …..”this” AND “that” to get a particular gallery as a result?
Not trying to be a pain, but the project I’m working needs to be set up a certain way and I have not found a plugin that does what I’m looking for.I realize my question is a little vague and without specifically showing you on a page it may be difficult to understand.
Well thank you Cais.
I’m still digging into NextGen so I’m sure I’ll have more questions. I’ll post those as needed.
Thanks again.
Thank You Becky.
But I still have some questions.
Not really “how to’s” but whys.
I’m very new to image galleries in general and I’m trying to wrap my head organizing and categorizing the several hundred images I want to put in this gallery.
I’m working my way through a lot of it as it’s just going to be trial and error. But I’ll ask again about linking to pages. It seems every element of NextGen be it gallery or album has the option to link to a page.
Why? What are the benefits to linking to a page rather than just embedding in a post?Thank You Becky. I did look at those and they were a great help.
I managed to get it to work with tags. It’s working for the most part.
The problem is the final display. Galleries created with tags have the thumbnails displayed in a “grid”. Want I want is for the gallery to be displayed with a “cover” image, like an it would in an album. Is there a way to do this with shortcode?
I did find a work around, but it’s a little trouble. Is there a way to have the tags-generated-gallery display like it would be a regular gallery in Album view?
Thank You.
Yes! That seems to have fixed it. Thank You Very Much! And I will check out those those resources.
And I guess if I have anymore questions I’ll post them here. Thanks Again.
