In reply to: [Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator] Firefox Top Sites Icon?I have just added the favicon compatibility test as a Top site in Windows FireFox 61.0.1. FF picks the 180×180 Touch icon, which is a classic behavior.
I reviewed the source of http://synchronet.co/ homepage: apparently the site is not using RealFaviconGenerator’s plugin… I would *that* is the issue 🙂

Unfortunately, many browsers have some undocumented features like this one. In addition, I suspect some to have a predefined set of icons for famous sites (eg. Amazon, Google, etc.), so that when you see the “Top sites” screen, you have the feeling that your own icon could be here too.
So:
Which Firefox are we talking about? Desktop Firefox? Android Firefox?
Do you have an example of a site that is correctly displayed in this screen? Not a famous site. Ideally your customer told you that his competitor was displayed correctly => what’s the competitor site?

I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
I reviewed your homepage: I cannot find the favicon markups injected by RealFaviconGenerator. Maybe you deactivated the plugin?
In addition, I found some other favicon markups. They might be from another plugin of from a theme. If these markups were already present when you used RealFaviconGenerator, that would explain why it didn’t work on the blog itself but did in the backend.
